To Christchurch.

From spring creek i have got to hanmer springs and have gone into the pools. At the springs there was a gasometer.
The gasometer was fed with natural gas from hanmer springs main hot water boar,this was used to light gas lamps around hanmer and also cooking and heating in the hospital.
In Christchurch there wasn't as much debris as i excepted because they have cleaned up most of the rubble. 
Most roads are closed and buildings are still waiting to be repaired. As most people are ok they seem to be carrying on with their daily lives.

    Great to see all these posts and photos Charlie. That looks like the cathedral. What is the plan with the cathedral? Are they demolishing it? I heard about them building a cardboard temporary one. Is that true? It would be interesting to ask some of the people living there if they are worried about another one happening or if they don't think about it.

    Hi Charlie did you enjoy Hanmer springs pools they are pretty cool, i really liked the hydro slides my favourite was the super bowl what was yours?
